Mepilex Lite- a thin absorbent soft silicone dressing

-Atraumatic to the wound and surrounding
skin on removal.

-Conforms well to body contours

Areas of use
Mepilex Lite is designed for the management of a wide range of non to low exuding wounds, such as leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, partial thickness burns, radiation skin reactions and Epidermolysis Bullosa. Mepilex Lite can also be used as protection of compromised and/or fragile skin. Mepilex Lite can be used under compression bandaging. Mepilex Lite can be used in combination with gels.

How Mepilex Lite works
Mepilex Lite is a highly conformable dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment. The Safetac layer seals around the wound edges, preventing the exudate to leak onto the surrounding skin, thus minimises the risk for maceration. The Safetac layer ensures atraumatic dressing changes. Mepilex Lite can be cut to suit various wound shapes and locations.

Design
Mepilex Lite is made of a thin flexible absorbent pad of polyurethane foam, coated with a soft silicone wound contact layer (Safetac) and a water vapour-permeable polyurethane film backing.

Assortment
Mepilex Lite is available in 6x8.5, 10x10, 15x15 and 20x50cm.
Mepilex Transfer- a soft silicone exudate transfer dressing

-Minimises trauma to the wound and pain to the patient during dressing changes

-Transfers the exudate away from the wound and minimises the risk for maceration

-Conforms well and enables management of difficult-to-dress wounds

Areas of use
Mepilex® Transfer is designed for a wide range of exuding and difficult-to-dress wounds such as cancer wounds. Mepilex Transfer can also be used as protection on non- to minimal exuding wounds. This is very suitable on large, awkward areas with fragile skin. The large sizes also enable covering of large areas of damaged and ulcerated skin.

How Mepilex Transfer works
Mepilex Transfer is thin and conformable which ensures a direct contact to the wound and the surrounding skin also on uneven surfaces. As the Safetac® layer seals around the wound, the foam structure of Mepilex Transfer allows the exudate to move vertically into a secondary absorbent pad. Mepilex Transfer maintains a moist wound environment in combination with an appropriate secondary dressing.

Design
Mepilex Transfer is made of a thin, flexible, hydrophilic polyurethane foam coated with a soft silicone contact layer.

Assortment
Mepilex Transfer is available in 15x20 and 20x50 cm.

Mepitel- soft silicone wound contact layerMinimises trauma to the wound and pain to the patient during dressing changes

-Minimises the risk for maceration
-Enables tailor made solutions

Areas of use
Mepitel® is designed for a wide range of traumatic wounds such as skin tears, abrasions, second degree burns and chronic wounds as well as for fixation of grafts. Due to the Safetac properties, Mepitel is especially suitable for painful wounds and wounds with compromised or fragile surrounding skin. See Safetac Technology.

How Mepitel works
Mepitel is made of a transparent polyamide net coated with a soft silicone layer. The structure of Mepitel allows exudate to pass into an outer absorbent dressing. Mepitel prevents the outer dressing from sticking to the wound and therefore minimises trauma and pain when changing dressings.

Design
Mepitel is made of an elastic, transparent polyamide net enclosed by a soft silicone Safetac layer. This layer is inert and adheres only to dry healthy skin and not to the moist wound bed (for details see Safetac technology). The release film is transparent allowing the wound to be visible during application.

Assortment
Mepitel is available in 5x7, 5x7.5, 7.5x10, 8x10, 10x18, 12x15 and 20x30 cm.
